Mr. Mel Mrowiec
Chairman of Harrow International Schools Limited
Mr. Mrowiec was the founding Head Master of Harrow Hong Kong from 2012 to 2017 and  has recently taken over as Chairman of Harrow International Schools Limited following a period as the Interim Head Master of Harrow School, London. He is a long-established member of the Harrow community and before he joined Harrow Hong Kong the part of his teaching career at Harrow School, London included being the Deputy Head Master, a House Master and Head of Geography. A graduate of Christ Church, Oxford, his teaching career spans 40 years
and also includes experience in  comprehensive
 schools in England.
Professor Samantha Twiselton, OBE
OFSTED Curriculum Review Advisory Member
Founding Director of the Sheffield Institute of Education at Sheffield Hallam University, Professor Samantha Twiselton holds a PhD in Education from Birmingham University. With 31 years' experience in education,she uses her research and practice in the development of teacher expertise and curriculum design to develop school embedded approaches to teacher development. Additionally,Professor Twiselton has been heavily involved in influencing government policy on teacher education and is currently a member of the OFSTED Curriculum Review Advisory Group
Mr. Edward Gould
Special Advisor of Asia International School Limited
Mr. Edward Gould retired from his positions as Chairman of the boards of Harrow International Schools Limited and Harrow International School Hong Kong after 13 years of service. He now serves as Special Advisor of Asia International School Limited, and continues to contribute to the Harrow Family of Schools. He was elected Chairman of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference in 2002 and sat on the Board of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, as well as the Independent Schools’ Council of which he was elected Chairman in 2006.
Ms. Ros Wilson
An OFSTED Inspector For Twelve Years
Specialising in assessment, Ros Wilson has a Master's in Primary Education and has been involved in schools for over fifty years. Ms. Wilson is known for her work in raising the standard of children's writing, predominantly through her 'Big Writing' programme, which has been introduced to primary schools in over fifty countries. Having spoken in over thirty countries, she is widely known as a witty and well-rsearched speaker on a wide range of issues around the importance of talk, children's writing and inspirational curriculum design. She has also been an OFSTED Inspector (serving in the role for 12 years).
Dr. Maynard F Yutzy
Extensive Experience Of Over 54 Years
With a PhD in Education (Curriculum and Supervision) from the University of Oregon, Dr. Yutzy has 54 years of educational experience. Previously Headmaster of Tohoku International School in Sendai,Japan,and Head of School of Apple Valley Christian School ,California,he has also beenthe Supervisor and Director for ten QSI International Schools in Vietnam and China. Amongst other honours, Mr. Yutzy has been recognised with an Outstanding Educator of America Award and, in Japan,an ASCD Outstanding Leadership Recognition Award.
Dr. Ma Weihua
Governor and Chairman of Harrow International School,
Shenzhen (Qianhai)
Dr. Ma was previously a member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Executive Director,President and CEO of China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., President of the People's Bank of China (Hainan branch) and Director General of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (Hainan branch), and Chairman of the Board of China Global Philanthropy Institute (Shenzhen). He also held directorship of CMB Wing Lung Bank, Cigna & CMB Life Insurance Co., Ltd., and C Merchants Fund Management Co., Ltd. He is currently President of the Council of Nationa Fund for Technology Transfer and Commercialisation,
President of the China Foundation, President of the Chinese Entrepreneur Club, and Executive Director of the China Society for Finance and Banking. He is a part-time professor at Peking University, Tsinghua University, and other high education institutions. Dr. Ma is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Columbia University’s Chinese Enterprise Research Centre, a member of the NYC Financial Services Advisory Committee in the US, and a member of the Advisory Board of the City of London in the UK.

Dr. Ma was born in Jinzhou, Liaoning province in June 1949. He read Economics at Jilin University in 1982 and holds a Doctoral research degree in Economics.
Mr. Michael Farley
Former Head Master Of Harrow Bangkok; A Head Master
For Twenty Years
A native of the UK, Mr. Michael Farley is a graduate of Nottingham University. He is Director of Group Operations for Asia International Schools Limited, overseeing new school projects, current school operations and group-wide strategic development. Previously Head Master at Harrow International School Bangkok, Michael Farley has extensive experience in Japan,Europe,and the Middle East.He is an expert in school design, curriculum solutions and educational management.At Harrow Bangkok, Mr. Farley led the school to outstanding success with exceptional examination and university entrance results.
Mr. ZhangXin
Former Principal Of Suzhou High School
Mr. Zhang obtained his master's degree in Education Management from Kobe University, Japan. He was previously Principal of Suzhou High School of Jiangsu Province and Academic Supervisor at the School of Education in Soochow University. He specialises in teacher evaluation systeams and multicultural education.
Mr. Jon Standen
Head of Harrow International School, Bangkok
With nearly twelve years of school leadership
experience, Mr. Standen was previously Head
Master of the century-old Plymouth College and of
The Crypt School in the UK. Under his leadership,
The Crypt School was judged to be ‘outstanding'
by the UK’s OFSTED inspectorate and became a National Teaching School. In 2017/2018, Mr. Standen became the Chairman of the Southwest England division of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference. Recognised as a National Leader of Education, his pursuit of excellence has been acknowledged across the education industry.

Ms. Ann Haydon
Head of Harrow International School, Hong Kong
Ms. Ann Haydon took up her position as Head of Harrow International School Hong Kong on 1st August 2017. She is the first woman to lead a Harrow School.

After reading Economics and Geography at the University of Surrey, Ms. Haydon completed her PGCE at the University of Nottingham. In 2007 she gained the National Qualification for Headship from the University of London. In 2013 she was awarded a distinction in the Pearson U.K. Headteacher of the Year Awards and has gained national recognition for work in leadership, governance, teaching and
learning and marketing in Schools. In 2012 Ms. Haydon and her Senior Leadership Team won the Independent Schools ‘Outstanding Senior Leadership Team of the Year’ and in 2013 received the accolade of ‘Outstanding Governing Board of the Year’. Ms. Haydon has held the position as HMC London Division Secretary and was a member of the HMC Sports Committee. She was a member of the United Learning Heads Reference Group working on strategic developments across a group of Independent Schools and Academies and she has sat on the Governing Body of several Independent Schools in London.

Ms. Haydon was Deputy Head at Guildford High School before taking up the position as Principal of Surbiton High School in 2008, an independent, HMC (Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference) and IAPC (Independent Association of Prep Schools) School with circa 1500 pupils aged 4 – 18, both of which are consistently placed in the Top Ten Schools in the Times League Tables. Ms. Haydon now has the privilege of leading Harrow International School Hong Kong.

Mr. David Shinkfield
Head of Harrow International School, Beijing
Mr. Shinkfield, an Australian by birth, joined
Harrow Beijing after five-years as the Principal of
Kormilda College in Darwin, Australia. Before
being appointed to that post, he spent twelve
years at the prestigious Rugby School and also
taught at St John’s, Leatherhead in England.
During his time at Rugby School he taught
mathematics, was the Senior Housemaster and
finally Assistant Head Master for two years.

Mr. Charles Matthew Ellison
Head of Harrow International School, Shanghai
Mr. Ellison is currently Head Master of Harrow International School Shanghai, and a member of the British Chamber of Commerce (Shanghai) Education Group Committee. With over twelve years of education management experience, he has worked for educational organisations in countries such as the UK, Kenya and Spain, and has presented on various educational topics at workshops and seminars for the Council of British International Schools. Prior to joining Harrow International, he was Head Master of Scarborough College. Under his leadership, Scarborough College was ranked as a Top 3 UK
Small Independent School by The Telegraph in 2018 and Top 50
Independent School by The Times in 2017.

Mrs. Sian Carr
Education Director Specialising In Education Leadership
As the Education Director of Harrow International, Mrs. Carr believes that strong, positive and focused leadership at all levels in a school is essential to its success and improvement. During her long and distinguished career in education, she has worked for renowned schools and organisations such as UK’s Association of Schools and College Leaders (ASCL), promoting leadership development opportunities. She has also worked with educational policy makers and other government and non-government agencies on a variety of areas including the shaping of the
new secondary school curriculum, assessment processes,
and governance and leadership.

Mrs. Carr is a member of the Board of Governors of the International
Baccalaureate (IB), which provides a series of four educational
programmes that focus on teaching students to think critically and
independently, and how to inquire with care and logic. Its curriculum has
been developed and applied in almost 5,000 schools in over 150
countries, becoming a benchmark for high-quality education. Prior to
joining Harrow International, she was Executive Principal of The
Skinners’ Kent Academy and Skinners' Kent Primary School, which ranks
in the top 10 schools for IB education performance in the UK.

Ms. Samantha Steed
Director Of Lower School Education Specialising In Early
Years Educationp
With a career in education that spans over 20 years, Ms. Steed specialises in Early Years and Primary education alongside school leadership. With a master’s degree in education from Winchester University, she worked for renowned primary schools as well as a Pre-Prep school in the UK. Since 2015, Samantha has focused on international education, founding the successful UK curriculum Ranches Primary School in Dubai. Under her leadership, Ranches has since become one of the best new schools in Dubai. Acknowledging these achievements, in 2017 Ms. Steed was recognised by
the UAE as an ‘Educational Influencer’, notably for her advocacy regarding the
preservation of childhood as well as her drive for schools to be innovative and future-ready.

A dynamic and inspirational educationalist, Dr. Machin has a pedagogical background encompassing international schooling, independent boarding, and the UK state sector, with considerable experience of schools operating in diverse and competitive contexts, particularly in Asia. He is currently Associate Director of Enrichment and Engagement for Harrow International and was formerly Head of Upper School at Harrow Bangkok.

An expert in teacher education, he supports the University of Warwick with their teacher training programmes in Asia and lectures for Keele University
on their MBA (Education), MA Keeleand PGCEi
programmes. Dr. Machin has written numerous business and economics
textbooks, including co-authoring the best-selling DK ‘Business Book’. His
PhD focussed on the growth of international schooling and its implications
for school leaders. He has had post-Doctoral papers published on
international school headship and the economics
ofinternational schooling.

Ms. Cathy Sun
Deputy Director, Chinese Education Specialising In
Integration Of Chinese And International Curriculum
Engaged in education for twenty-four years, Cathy Sun and has served as an Academic Director, as an educational consultant and as Assistant to the Asian Regional Supervisor, working for leading international and private schools across Asia.

At every phase of education, Cathy has detailed knowledge of both national and regional Chinese curriculum requirements. Her experience and expertise ensures that she is able to accurately advise on compliancerequirements in most Chinese cities and regions. Moreover, her study of educationwithin the United States and Great Britain
allows for comparative understanding of these curricula systems vis-à-vis
those of China. Her strong insight into the challenges and potentials of
integrating IB, AP, and A-Level pedagogies and curricula with compulsory
education in China, especially in the field of language teaching, is a
key strength.
